Entrepreneurship Organization-eLaw - The Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation and the U.S. Commerce Department’s International Trade Administration formed a public-private partnership focused on leveraging best practices in entrepreneurial leadership to advance economic growth around the world. The Entrepreneurship Law (“eLaw”) Web site is an online tool devoted to expanding legal entrepreneurship curriculum and education.
MicroEntrepreneur Resource Center - online entrepreneurial tools and resources. Free Business Plan Builder lets you work step by step to write a business plan. Click on the Register Button to sign up for a MERC account and start your building your business plan today.
Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe Small Business Development Program (SBDP) - provides technical assistance and business management/planning training.

Money Smart - A Financial Education Program
Free Computer-Based Instruction (CBI) that is friendly and easy to use learning tool that teaches the 10 modules of the Money Smart curriculum through a computer. The CBI can complement formal classes or enable people to study independently at their own pace.
Each module generally takes between 20-30 minutes to complete. Students receive ongoing feedback and, upon successful completion of each module, can print out a personalized certificate of completion. The CBI is available online or on CD-ROM.
Native American Community Development Institute (NACDI) - the 9-week Native Entrepreneur Classes are held twice annually in the metro area and twice annually outstate. Topics covered include business fundamentals, operations management, marketing, financial management and more. Cost: sliding fee schedule with limited scholarships available. Partnering Sponsors are NACDI, Mille Lacs SBDP and the Neighborhood Development Center.

Entrepreneurial Technical Assistance
Procurement Program Certifications (PDF) – a good fact/information sheet covering the different types of federal, state, local and corporate certifications for those interested in procurement programs and contracting.
Small Business Development Centers - are located throughout Minnesota offering free counseling services, and training programs at a nominal cost. Seasoned consultants can analyze your business situation and help you develop your tools for growth: a good business plan, financial analysis, and marketing strategies. They also assist in identifying sources of financing and developing a financing proposal.
