Irene Folstrom, Executive Director
Irene Folstrom is a dedicated professional with 25 years of experience serving Tribal nations and Indigenous communities. As a member of the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe, she has recently led government relations efforts for her tribe, showcasing her commitment to advocating for Indigenous rights and interests. Irene is passionate about harvesting connections and understanding among the 11 tribal nations in Minnesota and she plays a vital role in guiding MNIBA initiatives.
Irene continues collaborating with diverse communities and her expertise and deep-rooted connection to her Indigenous identity make her an invaluable asset in advancing the interests of Indigenous peoples.
